If you have ever wanted to train and ride a century (100 mile bike ride) this is the group to do it. The idea is to gradually build up your miles, your endurance and commit yourself to training. Nothing can make training more fun and motivating then riding with a fun group of people who come together as a team, to look out for each other on the road, to push our limits and help each other make progress. What could be better? Maybe some good food and drinks at the end of it! We definitely make a point to work that in too!
The approach to training has consisted of short rides during the week varying from 25 to 30 miles. These rides tend to be a bit more casual and great just for getting on the bike and having some fun during the week. On the weekends we have been doing longer rides which are currently at the 50 to 60 mile range. As the summer goes on we will gradually increase the weekend rides every few weeks. The goal is to be at the 90+ mile mark by mid to late August since many centuries are held in September.
All skill level riders are more them welcome! So even if you are not a serious trainer, you are more then welcome to join us for shorter rides that you may feel more comfortable with. So let's get together, let's bring in our friends to join us and let's have some fun this summer!
If anyone would like to suggest a good safe route they happen to know of, definitely feel free to make a suggestion to Myself, Matt or Peter.

“ Marlene knows many good rides and there are riders of various abilities. ”
“ The goal is to ride a century, so serious training is involved (which I like as opposed to a more casual group). ”
