$2.50 Collected at meetings
Why: The money helps to offset some expenses, (supplies, food, beverages etc).
The first meeting is Free! "Transition To Green" Community Clubs are all about learning at the local level how to make a transition to greener living. This is a grass roots, (non-partisan) public educational outreach that is on the non-profit path. The concept of making a transition to green is something that all of us should be interested in learning more about, even if that means starting with baby steps. If you care about having cleaner air, water, energy efficiency, healthier food products and recycling, that's a good start. The dialog begins with you.
The TToG Pre-Holiday Party Mixer that was held at a cool Green General Store was so much fun. We enjoyed organic wine punch, snacks and delicious vegan desserts. Near the end of our celebration, five people walked away with some wonderful eco-friendly gifts. The Party Mixer marks the beginning of our seasonal break, but meetings will begin again near the end of Jan. 2010. TToG Club meetings are run like parties (no sales) so everyone feels comfortable about expressing themselves, learning and having the opportunity to get to know people in their community better. Guests walk away with something, whether it's handouts, new knowledge, and quality gifts won from games and the final gift give-away. Be part of something that is fun and makes a difference!
