Note: Over the course of the next few months, we will be converting from a Meetup website to a Ning network where much of our work is out of state now.
Train-the Trainers Course
Last month we announced that Tohidu Transition will release an application and criteria for people actively interested in becoming Transition Trainers in regions not served at this time. In the interim, Transition US has signed a memorandum of understanding with the UK to be the National Hub, and the community of 22 Trainers is currently developing a decision-making process. So a Train-the- Trainers course will be delayed until it can be approved formally by these organizations. In the meantime, plesae feel free to register your interest in such a course as below.
Completion of a Training for Transition course, and commitment to participation in a Transition Initiative will be required. We are committed to bringing Transition to all people, and will be actively seeking people who can carry the model to a variety of social groups (ethnicity, economic, educational, rural/urban, political and faith).
If you would like to receive a notice of course details and application forms, when they become available,
please send an email to tohidutransition@gmail.com.

The Tohidu Transition Center seeks to change in a positive way, the dream which we in the modern world are living by. For this purpose, we provide training in the Transition Model, which empowers people to unleash the collective genius of their community to directly tackle the dual issues of Climate Change and Peak Oil. In addition, we present the Awakening the Dreamer Symposium to raise awareness of our need to change as a society. Ultimately, we are seeking to encourage a more resilient, environmentally sustainable, socially just and spiritually fulfilling human presence on the planet.

In June, Alastair co-instructed a Training for Transition event in June with Maggie Seeley (UNM Professor of Environmental Studies) and Zaida Amaral (member of Findhorn's initiative: Global Ecovillage Educators for Sustainable Earth). The training was held in the Hubble house, a 150 year-old adobe hacienda located in the Hispanic South Valley of Albuquerque. The hacienda had served as a trading in the mid 1800's, and has now been renovated to serve as meeting center, living history museum, and model site for sustainable farming. 36 people, representing 7 states, participated in the 2-day training, and left motivated and inspired to bring the Transition model to their areas.
