You'll get invited to our Meetups as soon as they're scheduled!
The Transition Training Center in Portland, Maine, was co-founded by Alastair Lough and Patricia Proulx-Lough in response to the threats of Climate Change, Peak Oil and Species Extinction.
Through the Transition Training Center, we seek to address these issues before their greatest impacts by promoting an environmentally sustainable, socially just and spiritually fulfilling human presence on the planet. As a mobile response team, we do this by raising awareness of the issues facing us by presenting the Awakening the Dreamer Symposium, developed by the Pachamama Alliance; and by providing the the two day Training for Transition course to interested parties, as one means to address these issues on a community level.
Alastair Lough has 18 years experience as a professional hydrologistm and recently completed doctorate in Natural Resources which focused on regional identification of high yield sand and gravel aquifers that could be conserved for future populations in NH. He has studied permaculture at the New Forest Institute.
Patricia Proulx-Lough has been a professional family therapist for 12 years. Her specialty is an evidence-based multi-systemic approach known as MST.
Both Pat and Alastair are formally certified facilitators for Transition Training, and the Awakening the Dreamer. Symposium.
