Hey friends,

We discussed the possibility of traveling as a group to visit a nearby Transition group. Here are the two I found in Virginia:

Staunton/Augusta - http://transitionstaunton.org/
Centreville/Clifton - http://www.transitioncentreville-clifton.org/

Polyface Farms is also very close to Staunton, if anyone is interested in a visit there.

I think I'd prefer Staunton over Northern Virginia, simply because mountains are more attractive than traffic jams. Thanks Chris!

I agree Michael, Staunton may be a more enjoyable trip. For me, it would have to be a weekend, and every other weekend (this weekend, August 6-7, and on) is less convenient because those are my weekend visits with my kids. Of course, I do not absolutely have to be there, but that is my availability.

As a point of order - does anyone see an issue if I make contact with the Staunton Transition Initiative as a "member" of our group, to introduce myself and discuss the possibility of a field trip out there? I certainly would not make any promises or representation of our group, other than our interest in becoming a Transition Initiative of some sort.

I agree that Staunton would be preferable to me. I'll be away until August 18th so if you can schedule the visit after that date I would appreciate it. Otherwise have a great trip!
