As a bonus meetup for the month of July, Transmedia 101 is pleased to announce Robert Pratten presenting Participatory Storytelling, Wednesday, July 25th, 7-8:30 pm. Robert Pratten presents case studies of recent transmedia projects and his workflow for adding participation to any linear format such as a web series, book or movie. The talk will also introduce Conducttr (http://conducttr.com/) the "pervasive entertainment platform" developed by his company for cross-platform social games and stories. The Conducttr authoring tool requires no programming skills and is available worldwide via any web browser. Experiences scripted in Conducttr can be immediately made available on a free Conducttr mobile app or via bespoke custom-apps.
Robert Pratten is CEO and Founder of Transmedia Storyteller Ltd (http://www.tstoryteller.com/)., an audience engagement company and provider of Conducttr, a pervasive entertainment platform. He is an experience marketing consultant with more than 20 years experience and has been an internationally recognized expert in the field of Intelligent Networks having advised clients such as Ericsson and Telcordia on international pricing, positioning and market entry strategies.
Robert left the board of a leading European consultancy in 1999 to attend the London Film School. He has since written, produced and directed two award-winning, critically acclaimed feature films – London Voodoo (2004) and Mindflesh (2008).
Robert has established himself as a thought-leader in the field of transmedia storytelling through major contributions to the evolving field in the areas of new business models, development processes and documentation. He is author of the book Getting Started in Transmedia Storytelling: A Practical Guide for Beginners.
