If you live in the Tri-Cities** and are single (not married), you will enjoy socializing with other active singles who are at least age 50, as your schedule and interest permits.
**Tri-Cities includes Benton City, Burbank, Finley, Kennewick, Pasco, Richland, and West Richland so you can easily drive year-round to our Tri-Cities activities and to the homes of members who host activities.
We have no dues, no business meetings, no voting, no debating, no promoting, and no drama (except when we have a dinner-and-a-play evening). We are just Tri-Cities people forming lasting friendships. Newcomers and all guests from all around the world are always welcomed!
If our activities don't fit your availability or your interests, we are eager to add activities you like, on days and times convenient to you, so you can regularly participate. Or please participate when your other commitments allow.
If you decide to complete a profile online, your introduction can be as brief as sharing that you are interested in socializing and meeting new people. We are not a website or group for arranging dates or a support group so a lot of personal detail isn't needed in your profile. The profile details also include 5 questions. Some of those questions are designed for 'Yes' answers since we are a group for active members who are single.
Before your profile is activated, we do have to meet you at one of the two 9am activities described in the next 2 paragraphs. You can also get a website-consistent photo taken, or let TCSOF Organizer Robert Ellsworth help with your profile setup if you prefer to do a profile then.
Our first-day-of-the-week activity is a 9am every-Sunday breakfast at Cousins' restaurant on Road 68 between Lowe's and TRAC in Pasco just off Highway 182. It's an open breakfast if you want to check us out before joining. Get your photo taken.
Our mid-week activity for not-day-shift workers and retired people is a 9am every-Wednesday coffee at the Village Deli & Cafe at 5215 West Clearwater and Edison in Kennewick, in the Marineland Village across from Albertson's. It's another open activity. Same invitation to visit us.
To check out our group, please do attend for a few weeks as the guest of a member-friend or as the guest of a member you meet when you first attend. But because we are a private social group, we ask that you join in order to continue attending. Joining lets others see your name and recent photo. Joining also lets you access our calendar and RSVP for activities. Joining lets all our members socialize with you since one of our goals is to become familiar with your website photo and name to welcome you to each activity without the need for nametags.
Once you are a member and can login, our website is easy to access and use. As a private social group, w e restrict our website to our members so you can feel comfortable about the required posting of your First name and your Last name in the format Bob Smith (not bob smith) for website consistency.
We also require a recent, color, face-clearly-visible, head-with-shoulders, unretouched picture of just you, so we will know what you look like. It's our group's version of nametags. Check out Robert Ellsworth's photo on the left side of this webpage as photo examples. Hold your own digital camera at arm's length and click, or Robert can take your photo at a 9am Sunday breakfast or at a 4pm Applbee's activity. More website consistency.
After you agree to Meetup’s terms of service, answer the five easy questions and attend so we can meet you, Robert sends a prompt-reply email that activates your login as a member. Later, you can easily edit anything you typed.
To join us, you need an email address and access to a computer since we don’t have a newsletter and all those postage and printing expenses. Please expect weekly emails announcing our activities. Free access to a computer and free email is as easy as visiting your closest library.
About our Sunday 9am breakfasts, we like that hour because some in our group have plenty of time to get to their place of worship by 10:30 or 11am.
Humor counts. Please bring your funny bone! You can tell by the smiles and humorous conversations at activities that we all enjoy being active members in Tri-Cities Singles Over 50 !

Now please scroll up to the top of this page and click the word "Pages" in the horizontal blue menu bar for a few more details about how our Tri-Cities Singles Over 50 group is structured for friendship building where everyone soon knows your name, rather than being like all the other singles groups and their once-in-a-while, drop-in-acquaintance style.
And please email robert3821@yahoo.com with your suggestions for improving this page.
Because we are a private group, you can not join by using your Facebook account or later link to your Facebook account. You can, of course, mention your Facebook account in your profile's introduction. Most of our members keep their Facebook accounts separate, until friendships form at activities.
You can join groups on Meetup using your Facebook account.
