Like Facebook only in person

The purpose of this group is two-fold. First we post events that are tried and true. These are events that we have done in the past and they work. People come together to share in a common interest that they would like to do but not by themselves. Secondly, we create environments where men and women can meet and form friendships. We have many success stories from within the Tri-County area and now on the west coast of Florida with our friends in Naples and Ft. Myers.

We do lot of things. People ask me all the time, "so,what does your group do?" I always say, " we do the events that others won't do" I laugh and then I just say that we try to touch on everything because we don't know what will click with you. There are many options week in and week out with our group.

Another special thing that I like to do is find groups that are relatively new and have the same principles and vision that we do. When I find groups like that, I promote them here so that you the member can check them out too. I also collaborate with other groups, like Sporting Out. If offers something different for our members and for you to.

Meetup can be a minefield for the new person that is just starting out. It can be overwhelming. My best advice to you is to take a deep breath, finally say YES and just show up. Find the organizer like me, Big Dave and introduce yourself. I will totally introduce you to the cool people and get you up and running. Its the best decision you will have ever made and it was free.

This group is run by Vanessa and her brother, Jorge is the chef. They have cooking classes and other events. They have just started so why not check them out and help them succeed.

Tiffany from Sporting Out and I have collaborated on different events for the past 9 months and it has been great for our group as well as hers. We invented the great Photo Scavanger Hunt at the Sawgrass Mall. We love going to Boomers and then Jaxsons for ice cream afterwards.

For those of you that want to get out and bike, run or swim for no other reason but the get in shape for the season, these guys are getting it done but in a way that we would do it. They work together and eat together and play together. Check them out.
