Introduction to Immutant 2.0
Details
Immutant (http://immutant.org/) is an effort to expose JBoss technologies to Clojure without all of the JavaEE complexity. Immutant 1.x is built on a modified JBossAS container, but 2.x makes the container optional, allowing it to be used as a set of libraries in a standard Clojure application. We're pretty excited about this new direction, and the talk will consist of going through discussing an application using these libraries, culminating with deploying said application to a cluster of unmodified WildFly (http://wildfly.org/) servers, allowing the app to take advantage of the load-balancing and failover features of the cluster without any code changes.
As a core member of the Immutant (http://immutant.org/) and TorqueBox (http://torquebox.org/) teams at Red Hat (http://redhat.com/) Toby Crawley (https://github.com/tobias/) helps drive the integration of Java technologies with other JVM languages.
