Triangle Opera Appreciation is a small, intimate group of down-to-earth people who love opera and enjoy experiencing it together. We're friendly and warmly welcome new members: newbies or long-time opera lovers. We watch recorded performances in members' homes, live broadcasts in stadium movie theaters, and socialize over food and drink, discussing what we've seen and forming friendships. We also organize Meetups for on-stage performances when available.

We depend on members' donations to meet expenses. The social periods are as important to this group as the operas we enjoy.

Home events are held on Sunday afternoons in North Raleigh, a consideration before joining. In general we meet every two to three weeks. DVD's are shown on a 48" Blu-ray entertainment system with surround sound.

Active participation is a requirement of membership: keeping RSVP's up-to-date and attending events at least once every other month or so. Inactive individuals will be encouraged to participate or withdraw.

We value great art without snobbery or elitism. Join us and experience the riches of music as theater. Learn, share, and enjoy!
