The Columbus group set up a 4day dragon trip that I couldn't pass on. It's Thursday August 8th through Sunday August 11th. Since its my Birthday weekend, I couldn't think of something more fun to do. They are staying at the two wheeled Inn so if you are interested in going along, join us. If you want to go in the fall, then wait for that ride to get posted.

Rider level needed - intermediate and up. I am mapping the route to take some back roads down so we get in just before dinner so we can unpack and go for a dinner ride to unwind. I will map gas stops every 125 miles, with a 15 minute time limit, unless someone has some mechanical issues. Make a plan for hydration and sunblock because it will be warm and NICE!

There are only 11 rooms left at the Two Wheel inn. BOOK YOUR ROOM NOW if you want to go or are unsure if you are going.... You can cancel two weeks out and get a refund, but you will know you have a place to stay with everyone and a garage to park your bike in. It will be an awesome trip! Hope to see you there :-)http://img1.meetupstatic.com/3250963246259337556533/img/smileys/cool.gif

North Riders (Columbus) Meeting at the Pilot on 42/70 T 6:30am - KSU sharp at 7:00AM with a gas stop on I75 at Cincy/Dayton Road Speedway. Its a two hour trip with a stop.
This will put us at the second meet point at 9:30-ish.

South Riders(Cincy) - the second meeting point at the
Pilot Travel Center
118 Richwood Road, I-75/71/ky 338 Exit 175

We are leaving here SHARP - KSU at 10:00am

First stop after we leave will be exit 62 for gas (118 miles, 2hrs.). Take a left off the exit and there is a Shell station on the right.

We will be off the interstate from here on out.

When we reach Sommerset, KY we can stop for a late lunch. This is a little over the halfway point.

We will take 27 to 62 in Tennessee and head towards Oak Ridge.

62 to 162 to I40 to 129 and on to the Dragon. This should bypass the 5pm traffic by the airport to get out to the dragon. This is a great route that Bill made for us last year with good roads and plenty of stopping points if needed along the way. I hope R D volunteers to ride tail so we can have an even safer trip.
