Weekend getaway to Skyline Dr. & Blue Ridge Parkway

Please join us for an adventure to explore Skyline Drive which is 109-mile road that runs the entire length of the Shenandoah National Park in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia and part of the Blue Ridge Parkway; noted for its scenic beauty . This will be a three day trip from Cincinnati to Virginia and back to experience all 109 miles of The Skyline Drive and about 65 miles of the Blue Ridge Parkway in Virginia before heading back home.
Rich Craft has planned this trip and will lead. We will meet Friday morning, July 15th, 8:30 am at Thorntons Gas, 4360 Newberry Dr, Batavia, Oh 45103. Kick stands up at 9:00 am. We will be traveling east on SR 32 and SR 50 most of the way to our first lodging in Moorefield, WV. We will be stopping about every 100 miles for breaks and gas. Total miles for the day 355. On Saturday we will have about an hour ride before we get to Front Royal which hosts the northern end of the Skyline Drive. Cost is $10 per bike for the entire length of Skyline drive. At the end of Skyline drive starts the Blue Ridge Parkway at no extra cost. Saturday night’s lodging will be in Lexington, VA . . . total miles 250. Sunday morning we get up and head home. Total miles for Sunday, about 370 back to Cincinnati. This will be a rain or shine venture.
