Inmar’s data scientist, Benjamin Braunheim, will explain the process to solidify a business problem that can be solved with analytics, the data science steps to build a model and the required coordination with the Big Data/IT teams to take an analytics/data science product to market, using Inmar’s solutions as an example.

Ben has more than twenty years of experience in the process of transforming big data into actionable signals in academic, management and consulting roles. Prior to joining Inmar, Ben was Analytics Manager with Opera Solutions, where he managed global analytics teams and led problem formulation using big data across many businesses and industries. From 2007 to 2010, he was Senior Consultant, Optimal Decisions Group with LexisNexis, Risk and Information Analytics Group, where he managed client engagements in optimized pricing and developed new product development.
He also was a postdoctoral research fellow for Columbia University, responsible for developing an algorithm for managing forests for ecological and economic sustainability, a consultant with Quantitative Trading Strategies, for MotherRock LP, NY, and founded a biotech start-up from 2000 to 2006. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from California Lutheran University, an M.A. in Mathematics from Columbia University and a Ph.D. from Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Department of Physiology and Biophysics. Ben holds four patents and has authored numerous papers.
