Template factory or when global variables are useful

I'm happy to announce that Anton Terekhov, CAM Software Manager at Align Technology, has agreed to give the first C++ talk for this Meetup. Align makes heavy use of C++ in its CAM software, and Anton is responsible for much of its development. He will speak about the Template Factory design pattern (template class Factory), registration of implementations with use cases from the Align codebase. Doors open at 6PM, talk at 6:30PM, hanging out and jamming on C++ thereafter (until 8PM).
