What's your history with the classics so far?

I have read a variety of books and taken a lot of lit courses. Favorites include Hardy, Dickens, Flaubert, Eliot, Dostoevsky, Tolstoy, Gaskell, all 3 Brontes, Austen, Trollope, Zola, Balzac, Boccaccio, Radcliffe, Braddon, Richardson, and Defoe.

How much time do you have for reading or meetups?

I spend a lot of my free time reading. I am not usually super busy; I have a fair amount of free time.

Is there anything a school or college teacher made you swear you'd never read again?

At one time, I believed that I would never read The Scarlet Letter again, but after I read The House of the Seven Gables and The Blithedale Romance, I am ready to give it another try.

Is there anything you've been meaning to read but haven't quite got around to?

I have never read anything by George Sand. I specifically want to read Mauprat because I've read that Wuthering Heights was based on it, and I love Wuthering Heights.

I love classic literature, and I do not really know anyone who shares my passion for it.
