Are you looking to build modern web apps with best UI design patterns and components that stand the test of time? Are you convinced web components are the future of the web but just not quite ready to take the plunge? Or maybe you’re growing weary of complicated supersets and obtuse build tools and want to get back to your javascript roots? Let’s accept our fears and boldly go to the future on our modern platform one component at a time.

In this talk, we will critically examine current web component frameworks and see if we can’t add some armor to your web component vest. This talk will analyze and go under the hood of current component oriented frameworks Polymer, Angular2, and React JS. We’ll see what commonalities we find, explore polyfills and interoperability, and review upcoming standards which might sway your impressions. We’ll also take a look at design patterns and different use cases for applying these newfound elements.

Leslie Hinson, Andres Galante, and Patrick Riley are core contributors on Red Hat’s Patternfly (http://patternfly.org) team. We’ll be doing our first talk at Triangle JS as we explore web components in our open source frameworks and gather your feedback so that we can build the best enterprise apps possible. Each of us brings a unique perspective to the table and we’d love to make your acquaintance in our Patternfly community.

The celebration of 2K members in Triangle JS is also upon us. We hope to see you there!"
