Learn Julia Package Development

Details
Let's carry on the momentum of our startup meeting!
On Monday, March 24th at 7 PM, we'll meet at Bull City Coworking (https://www.google.com/maps/place/112+S+Duke+St/@35.9989599,-78.908889,17z) in Durham for a presentation on package development in Julia with a focus on risk calculations, which will be led by group member Jacques Rioux.
Jacques has provided the following abstract of his presentation:
I will demonstrate how to create and distribute a Julia package and provide some tips and tricks to make the process painless. The package will implement some basic risk calculations such as those that might be encountered in pricing general insurance contracts.
A basic familiarity with probability distributions such as the Normal or Uniform distributions would be preferable but not absolutely necessary. I will introduce the Distributions package and will be using it extensively.
To new members who are uncertain how to install Julia prior to the meeting, see http://julialang.org/downloads/ for Julia itself, and http://forio.com/products/julia-studio/download/ if you choose to use the JuliaStudio environment.
If you have any questions about the group or this meeting, please contact Mason DeCamillis (https://www.meetup.com/Triangle-Julia-Users/members/9791019/).
