Longsword Fundamentals

This class is an introduction to the German Longsword, open to anyone interested in getting started . This class is designed to prepare students to move into the main Longsword Core class as soon as possible. Because we regularly cycle students out of this class into the Core class, attendance in the Fundamentals class tends to be smaller, allowing us to take a slower, more personalized pace than our regular sessions. Because of the smaller attendance, please be sure to RSVP and come a few minutes early so we know who will be there.

Anyone, regardless of previous experience, is welcome. No equipment is necessary for the beginner class, though please come dressed in exercise clothes and don't forget to bring water.

Please note: In order for members to participate we need everyone to sign a participation waiver. Although we do everything we can to train safely and effectively, with all martial arts there is always a risk of injury. These waivers ensure that no one, participants and teachers a like, is put in undue legal risk. Both forms can be found at http://hemaalliance.com/?page_id=1019. Please print, sign, and bring both forms to practice. Waivers will also be available at practice if you need them. Thanks!
