Learn Sichuan Cooking & Potluck Dinner
Details
We would like everyone to bring a dish (Chinese or Western) to share with the group. Please put in your RSVP what you will be bringing to share with the rest. Thank you.
We would like everyone to contribute $3 or $4 dollars to help cover the cost of food and materials for the Sichuan dishes. Please bring $3 - $4 dollars in cash with you to this event. Thank you.
Yu Yao, a kind member of the group, is very skilled and experienced in Sichuan cooking, and she will teach us how to cook a few dishes.
Yu is planning to cook braised pork ribs with potatoes in brown sauce (brown sauce is "Dou Ban," a typical Sichuan sauce) as the main dish. The other dish is fried chicken with Ya Cai, a very spicy dish.
She also plans on preparing a fried egg with tomatoes as a complementary dish and a light soup.
Meimei Davis, another generous member of the group, has been gracious enough to host this event in her Cary home, which is located near the intersection of Kildaire Farm Road and Penny Road. Her address will be sent out to people who have RSVPed yes on Friday, December 17.
Please thank both Yu Yao and Meimei Davis for their kindness and generosity.
The rest of the details for this event are forthcoming.
Thank you for your patience.
