Triangle fatties is a meetup dedicated to the support of fat people through social gatherings which are just for fun as well as gatherings to discuss more serious topics such as weight stigma. We're here to offer support, friendship, and knowledge. Triangle fatties supports fat acceptance as well as a HAES approach to health.

There is NO diet talk or weight loss talk unless it's specifically talking about diet culture and fatphobia, the fantasy of thin, etc. Not only can these topics be triggering to people who are in recovery for eating disorders or disordered eating, or even just as a fat person in a fatphobic society, but it's simply not what we're about.

This is an intersectional group. We are inclusive of queer people, people of color, trans people, non binary people, etc. Any sort of bigotry or intolerance of marginalized groups will not be tolerated. This includes, but is not limited to: sexism, racism, homophobia, biphobia, transphobia, classism, ableism, and, of course, fatphobia.

This is not a dating or hook up site. While I cannot control what my members do (nor would I wish to!), and while relationships within the group will be supported, please do not send sexual or romantic messages to other members. Don't be creepy, don't have inappropriate profile pictures, and don't try to harass or solicit members. Any of these things will result in your removal from this group.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
