Yin Yoga is a Taoist form of yoga that focuses on stretching the connective tissue of the body to promote better range of motion while also stimulating the flow of energy through the meridians; similar to Acupuncture. Yin poses are mostly floor poses that work to stretch the lower body. Poses are held for several minutes to give the connective tissue the needed time to stretch and release. Mindfulness meditation techniques and focused breathing are incorporated into the class. Great class for athletes!

You'll need to bring your own mat and wear stretchy clothes you can move easily in. Some folks find the room to be a little cool at times so dress in layers and bring a blanket for shavasana if you have one.
