17:00-17:45 – Nuno Teixeira (Codacy) - From code to deployment (speech in English)

Splitting a monolithic application poses several challenges for the code structure and deployment process. In this talk I will show some solutions we found at Codacy to avoid duplicate code, manage project dependencies and automate the deployment when the code is split across different projects. Codacy is written entirely in Scala and we make use of tools such as SBT, private maven repositories and dockers to tackle these issues.

About the Speakers:

Nuno Teixeira - Scala Engineer, Codacy

Software engineer that moved from the big corporations to the startup world. He started learning Scala one year and a half ago when he joined Codacy and quickly fell in love with it. He likes to find solutions for problems at scale and to learn new and better way to do things in computer science. He graduated Instituto Superior Technico.

Patryk Jażdżewski - Scala hAkker, Scalac

Programming passionate. He creates awesome projects and products, helping clients to reach their goals, making IT world more creative and as usueful as it possible. He works mainly with scala based technologies.
