Stream processing with Storm

Storm is an open source framework for processing big data streams.

Jon Espen Ingvaldsen will give an introduction to the fundamental concepts in Storm and show practical examples of how Storm can be applied to handle and aggregate news and twitter data.

Jon Bratseth will give a brief overview of how Storm is used in Yahoo including how we run hybrid batch+stream applications on Hadoop clusters, using the Storm-on-Yarn open source project.
