In the end, we help each other be what we already are -- story tellers. We are those who make people laugh and make them cry. We help others to forget their troubles and learn empathy. We are teachers and learners and tellers of truth. We are fortune-tellers. We are lampooners. We are dramatists. We are the weavers of make-believe. We are writers.
Come join us at Tuesday Night Scribes (TNS) as we seek our voice, in written form.
With the TNS, you can expect to:
*Meet other local writers of varying styles and skill-levels
*Learn about writing contests and getting published
*Discuss various aspects of the writing craft (plot, dialogue, revision, etc.)
*Provide feedback to other writers to help them improve a piece of writing
*Receive feedback from other writers on a piece of your own writing
*Take home copies of useful articles or hand-outs about writing
*Participate in fun writing exercises to work that creative muscle!
