About Tuesday Night Scribes

This is a group for people who love to write. We are mainly fiction writers, but we also welcome screenplay writers, poets and non-fiction writers. The purpose of this group is to discuss possible ideas, share our experience and grow in our talents. Every two weeks, a member submits a piece of their work and the rest of us critique it in a friendly and constructive manner. We also hold in-meeting writing exercises and discuss aspects of the craft of writing.

If you would like to join our group, please fill out the Introduction and answer the three questions. You will also be asked to email the organizer a short (2-5 page) writing sample. It can be a whole piece or a fragment; it can be perfect or it can be mediocre. The writing sample will only be read by the organizer. In lieu of sending a writing sample, prospective members can send a 2 or 3 paragraph rant about why they don't have a sample or why the request for a sample is ludicrous. This rant will serve as your writing sample. =)
