The Best of the Bunch for SQL-on-Hadoop

Abstract: For a long time picking an engine for SQL-on-Hadoop was simple, you had one choice, Apache Hive. In recent years however, the number of choices has exploded, creating a blessing and a curse for users. While SQL-on-Hadoop is faster and more capable than ever, how do you decide among the various options?

In this talk, Ryan and Brock will discuss a few of the open-source SQL options available in CDH, considerations to help you decide which engine is appropriate for your project, and finally, how to use them.

Parking: There are two options to pay for parking in the adjacent Anderson ramp. You can either enter/exit with a credit card, or you can take a ticket and use the pay kiosk on the northeast corner of the ramp to get an exit ticket.
