Some updates about our space and RSVPs

Hey folks,

(in short, if you RSVPed for events in 2014, you will get un-RSVPed to
help make things a bit more fair)

As most of you already know, we have space issues and our meet ups
fill very quickly. Clockwork, the great company that hosts us and
provides pizza, is working on expanding their facility and we should
be able to move into a larger room. It should be happening soon, but
there is no specific date.

In the meantime, I am working to make things as fair as possible to
ensure everyone can make it to as many meeting as possible. Your help
in keeping your RSVP status up to date is very important to this.

I recently came across an option on that allows to set a
date for when people can start to RSVP for an event. Currently, there
are people who have started to RSVP for meet ups as far as August
2014. I understand that first-come-first-served is a fair method, but
most people don't actually know about their schedule 4 months ahead of
time, and I hope this will create a more fair approach. (I open to
comments and suggestions)

So, starting for the January 2014 meetup I will be removing RSVPs and
not allowing people to RSVP until closer to the event. Through this
process, you may receive emails about how your RSVP status has
changed; please ignore these.
