This sounds like a great idea and opportunity for folks who want to get more exposed to the literary arts scene in Minneapolis. I don't know anything more than the description they posted (copied below) but this could potentially be a great networking opportunity as well as just a chance to learn about some of the important players of the literary arts scene. Hope to see you there!
From their website -- After the first successful year of Litpunch, we can all attest to the strength and dedication of our Twin Cities literary community. For our second year, we wanted to focus on celebrating and strengthening our literary community by organizing social and networking events throughout the year.
Our first LitPunch Mixer is January 30, 2013 at the Crooked Pint Ale House (5:30 p.m.). The five sponsoring organizations as well as many other literary friends, authors, and partners will be there, so please come celebrate with fellow writers, readers, and publishers. There will be previews of upcoming literary events, prizes, punch, and good company.
LitPunch is sponsored by Coffee House Press, Graywolf Press, The Loft Literary Center, Milkweed Editions, and Rain Taxi Review of Books.
