TYPEWOOD is brought to you by (typo)graphic lab NovoTypo, in collaboration with LenoirSchuring and Grafisch Werkcentrum Amsterdam.
We invite you to the first public demonstration of this new type, that made the trans-formation from 100% digital to complete analog in five months time. NovoTypo is the first to experiment with multi-colored, multi-layered woodtype, produced by hypermodern CNC milling machines and printed on antique letterpress proofpresses. Every single sign consists of four different printruns, all getting their own place on the excellent paper of Fedrigoni.

WOOD, WE SAY, IS THE NEW MODERNISM.
The story of how this type came to be and the results of the process are caught in a limited, adequate stylish publication set and printed by LenoirSchuring. This brochure will be shown and sold at the presentation, and will be available for public use at GWA from that day on. Same goes for the polis itself: the type will stay in the graphic lab, open for everyone to come (seriously) play around with. Please feel free to come and see for yourself how Typewood works, listen to the story by NovoTypo and take part in the Do It Yourself Letterpress Workshop.
