## About Our Group

We are a community of mountain enthusiasts dedicated to exploring the remote reaches of the UAE and Oman. Our treks are defined by the pursuit of silence, stunning vistas, and the unique geology of the region.
While we enjoy a spirit of friendly competition and physical challenge, our primary philosophy is simple: We start together, and we finish together.

Our calendar remains active throughout all seasons:

• Autumn to Spring: Full-day mountain treks and peak bagging.
• Summer: Shaded wadi explorations, canyoning, and overnight hikes to beat the heat.

## Membership Requirements & Guidelines

To maintain the safety and spirit of our outings, we ask all prospective members to acknowledge the following standards before requesting to join:

• Active Participation: We are an active community. Members are encouraged to join events regularly rather than remaining "silent" in the roster.
• Self-Sufficiency & Gear: Members must arrive with the appropriate gear for the terrain (e.g., proper hiking boots, sufficient water/electrolytes, and headlamps for night treks).
• Group Integrity: We move as a cohesive unit. While pace may vary, regrouping at key intervals is mandatory to ensure no one is left behind in remote terrain.
• Environmental Stewardship: We follow "Leave No Trace" principles to preserve the pristine nature of the wadis and mountains we visit.
• Safety First: High-altitude or technical treks require a baseline level of fitness. Please accurately assess your capability against the event description before RSvP-ing.
