Speaker: RAY SONGTREE

Title: “TIPPING POINT – FROM DOMINANCE TO REJUVENATION”

Program (Live Event): This will be a two hour interactive think tank for those seeking solutions for the perfect storm society and nature we are all are facing. Ray Songtree, author of the upcoming book, “Lipstick and War Crimes” ,will lead with a synopsis which covers our real history, our spun history, and how our values have been shaped to support a financial pyramid that wants to dominate all cultures and the Earth. He will show that the very values that we deem worthwhile have been shaped to embrace consumerism and relativism which leaves us feeling unconcerned and not responsible. Consumerism destroys nature, relativism allows the destruction. Ray's background is Conservation, Buddhism, and indigenous studies. How do we move from studying scandals and thinking we are in the know, to being living examples of an alternative? Ray says our values must be examined.

Ray will be visiting NYC from his home in Hawaii. Ray has posted many thought provoking items on our DNNY Yahoo Group e-mail blasts in the past and has lectured at a DNNY meeting.

For this special Saturday event it has been programmed in 3 parts:

  1. Ray will first talk about his cutting edge new book from both an “indigenous” as well as “zen” viewpoint. He will then lead a lively discussion and Q&A.

  2. At 6pm we will walk to a pleasant nearby restaurant in the West Village to continue the discussion.

  3. Weather permitting, after dinner we will walk to a close outdoor location with an expansive sky view to do an ET contact request to possibly find out if the 2010 flyby was just a coincidence.Ray has attended a CSETI training session and initiated a contact session in Central Park in 2010 with DNNY members. The group didn't stay long as the location seemed poor, but three days later there was a well seen flyby in NYC, documented on YouTube. You are welcome to attend one, two or all three parts of the planned afternoon and evening events. Please invite your interested friends to join us!
