April meetup - data.table package and support vector machines

Details
We’re excited to have two UVa students come talk to us: Matt Hawthorne and Bommae Kim. Matt is a master’s student in the Data Science program and will give us a demo of the data.table package. Bommae is a PhD candidate in the Psychology department and will show us how to use support vector machines for character recognition. This will be the first time we’ve had UVa students speak at a meetup, so please come out and make them feel welcome! And then introduce yourself to a couple of people, network a little, and snag some free food.
To get to Ruffner Hall 302, enter Ruffner (#44 (http://www.virginia.edu/webmap/GMcCormickRoadArea.html)) from the NE doors (the ones off the duck pond and parking lot -- but don't park there). Take the stairs or elevator to your right to the 3rd floor; enter the doors across from the elevator and you're there!
If you're coming from off-grounds, Ruffner is across the street and down a block from the Central Grounds Garage ($2/hour, Cash, Check, or Cavalier Advantage).
