UX Perth Meetup - Simplifying UX
Hosted by Experience Design Perth
Details
This month we are looking at Mobile Interaction Design.
The seed book for the month is Simple and Usable Web, Mobile, and Interaction Design (http://www.bookdepository.com/book/9780321703545/Simple-and-Usable-Web-Mobile-and-Interaction-Design) by Giles Colborne.
Giles' book focuses on the general simplification of the interaction, making it usable from a practical view point.
There is a site (http://www.simpleandusable.com/) for the book, as you expect.
Seeing as mobile is it in terms of design at the moment this should be a very interesting topic.
Supplementary to this I can recommend Josh Clark - Tapworthy (http://oreilly.com/catalog/0636920001133), it's Iphone specific, but the principles of the design elements are there.
