What do you hope to get out of Experience Design Perth?

Modern approach and updated skills to providing the right Ui to the end user.

What is your role, how does it relate to User or Customer Experience Design?

Software engineer, usually left to get the GUI to present the data and satisfy perceived "user needs" without a lot of feedback on UX. Feedback loop takes so long (large project with many layers) that it becomes difficult to really give the user what they would like.

How do you define User or Customer Experience Design?

Not sure, give them what you think they want and wait for the change requests to roll in.

From an embedded, telecomms and mobile background, embedded Linux, WinCE, PalmOS, Symbian etc and now looking to pickup skills and knowledge in Android, iOS, Windows Mobile etc.
