User Testing Night (UX Speed Dating)
Details
This is a monthly event where tech professionals get to present a user test to three users for in-person response. It's formatted like a speed dating event!
Who:
UX designers, project managers, start-up founders or anyone who wants to have some software/device/concept tested. You'll need to bring along a user (it's required) and maybe some swag if you have some laying around.
What:
UX Speed Dating (http://uxspeeddating.org/) is a monthly event where tech professionals get to present a product to three users for in-person feedback. Typically these are software prototypes being tested, but it could be a game, a physical product, a website -- any sort of product that needs preliminary user feedback to be successful.
It's formatted like a speed dating event with a twist. Product owners sit stationary and the users switch to a new tests every 20 minutes. Users are entered to win a grand-prize (see below) presented at the end of the event. Check out the fact sheet (http://uxspeeddating.org/docs/UXSD_format_and_rules.pdf) for more details.
We ask $10 a RSVP
This seems to keep attendance steady. Also we hope you find value in the event, and you'll get free food and drinks! We try to get something healthy, but at the same time, pizza is pizza.
Prize:
This month we'll be giving away another fabulous raffle prize. Past prizes have been a telescope, aged whiskey, cuttlery set, and aeropress coffee maker. You know, we try to keep it interesting.
Sponsors:
We welcome sponsors, they get to be the hero of the event, and give us more about who they are. Please contact us (pfecteau@atlassian.com) if interested.
