What profession are you in?

teach climate change to the public (was a high school physics and math teacher)

Please list at least three books that you would be interested in reading and discussing with the group? (Note you must answer this question with some specific titles)

papers from cultural theory of risk, eg, at, eg, Cultural Cognition of Scientific Consensus, The Tragedy of the Risk-Perception Commons: Science Literacy and Climate Change, etc Deer Hunting with Jesus 1491, 1493

Have you been a member of other book clubs and what did you like or not like about those groups?

Yes. I like groups where it's safe to bring in other knowledge because we don't overdo it, and where the emphasis is on what the author says.

I found this group because I am enjoying Kahneman's Thinking, Fast and Slow. I read a variety of fiction and non-fiction; currently my non-fiction focuses on the culture wars (in addition to Science).
