From past experience, our membership seems to love attending home tastings surrounding a food and wine pairing, a country or wine-style theme, murder party, or even 'blending' events. If you missed attending my Cab Franc Comparison and blending party in September, check out the photos, you will see fun was top priority, and educational too.
Parties are up to the host/hostess, if you need a co-organizer, I'm your lady. I can help with idea and planning, and you can make it simple on yourself if you don't have dozens of wine glasses, we can make it a BYOG party, Bring Your Own Glass.
Party attendance can be geared toward your home size limits: 5 people, great. 10-15, great.
Fall is a great time with warm soups, stews, comfort foods or just whatever you like. We've had chili parties, paella parties (the hostesses charged a fee for that), or potluck and bring a bottle.
Seasonal themes like our upcoming Halloween party are good fun. Anyone interested in exploring wines to go with your Turkey dinner, this is timely.
Send me your ideas, or any ideas, if you can't host but would like to help someone else host one, awesome.
Enjoy the fall and get out to Crush viewing at the wineries in Woodinville, great way to experience your love of wine in person. Cheers, Diana.
