This meetup is intended to offer a platform for CURRENTLY UNEMPLOYED architects, interior designers and construction professionals ONLY. If you are not unemployed, please do not join. This website is intended for companies to see.
Our industry has been hit hard, and it might take years to get it back to where it was. Please join the meetup if you feel isolated and would like to network with others in the same situation. The goal for this site is to make it visible to architecture, design and construction firms and to allow them to contact the members of the meetup directly instead of placing an ad to which they will receive hundreds of resumes. You need to agree that you don't have a problem with your profile being public, and you have to fill out all the questions sufficiently so potential employers can get a first idea of who you are and what you are able to do. Tip: Choose a professional looking picture/head shot. Good luck!

Anjela has posted a note about this annual exhibition at the World Financial Center on the message board, and I thought we could go together and have a bite afterwards. My favourite last year was the 'AlasCAN Bridge to Nowhere', even though it did not win in any of the six categories.
What members are saying
“ Meet people in the same situation and brainstorm ideas ”
“ It is a depressing time for a lot of people and it is just good to get out of the norm and meet new people in a similar situation and just relax, lounge around and have fun. A good distraction. ”
