Three seprate watermelon seed spittin' contests givn' chillens, Aydults, and teams a chance to be weiners. Aydults on Saterday. And four person aydult teams spit on Sunday. The current Guiness Book of World Records is 68 feet 9 and 1/8 inches was set by Lee Wheelis in Luling in 1989. Come try to beat it! In addition, Y'all can participate in a Genuine Watermelon Eatin' Contest on Saterday of the Festival. Contestents will be linen the tables and the wiener is determined on who can eat one slyce of watermelon the fastest! Great Thumpin' fun for the entyre famly!!!! We can be meetin' at tha church and driven is 'bout 45 minutes. We'll probly be leavin' outta thar round 7 PM.
