UNITY is a worldwide Christian organization over a century old.  The stated mission of the Tucson outreach of this organization is:  Within the principles of Unity, we are a ministry of love, inspiration, learning, wholeness and joy that empowers all people to embrace their Divine Nature. Unity is interdenominational and welcomes in dignity and love people of all races, backgrounds and levels.  It seeks to see people sharing a Oneness on a common journey Godward.

Unity of Tucson, incorporated in 1956, is a community of spiritual seekers and is affiliated with Unity World Wide Ministries. Unity is the home of the Daily Word, the oldest daily magazine of its type in the United States. Unity's message is compatible with the Abraham discourses and amplifies what is right in one's life without the threat of hell or getting it wrong. This is done through Sunday messages that are uplifting and empowering plus a variety of mid-week activities and other special events. Unity has been defined as metaphysical Christianity yet it believes Truth is Truth wherever it is found. Founded in 1889 in Kansas City, MO., it is world wide and has over 900 ministries within the United States.

Unity seeks to relate religion to spirituality and then to one’s daily needs, affirming that for every need there is a perfect answer in God.  Unity's main textbook is the Bible and relates its lessons to the everyday experience of life.  Unity sees worship as serving God by uplifting and glorifying God's Spirit within each mind and heart in positive and joy-filled ways. Unity seeks not to emphasize one's sins of the past, but instead gives attention to the good that exists in every person and what can be done with the now to transform one's self and life.  As such the main concern is not so much with a "future life" but with how to live fully in the present, finding the good in all things.
