Huge thanks to all who attended and rushed through the tutorial. We will be running another Day of Unity event on Saturday April 26th in Houston if you missed out or want to come back and visit! Details here - http://jasongfox.com/day-of-unity-microsoft/

Sorry for the delayed thank you, but I was GDC last week ;)

To answer everyone's questions - if you're coming for the beginner class, all you need is a computer - PC or Mac, that is capable of running Unity. If you're interested in the porting lab, then you need a PC running Windows 8.1. I hope that clears things up.

I live nearby, but only have a mac mini. I have a background in 3D graphics, got an award once for an animation from the creators of Maya. Developed a simple app put on the iOS app store. Curious about Unity, I may just spectate if that is possible. I live nearby.

Will having a Windows 7 PC instead of a Windows 8 PC prevent me from following along with the presenters at this event?

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
