Join us at Hawthorne Asylum in East Portland for food, drinks, and good conversation — and hopefully, good weather. There are covered tables if the weather isn't looking great.

About the venue
Hawthorne Asylum is a food cart pod with a wide variety of choices, including Vegan options. There is also a bar with indoor/outdoor seating, plenty of local beer & craft cocktails, and bathrooms. There is free street parking as designated and 2 paid parking lots nearby (11th & Madison Lot | City center Parking 1001 SE Madison St).

What to expect
We typically discuss game development, technology, what's going on in the Unreal Engine community, and other related topics.

Unreal Engine experience is not required. Even if you're just curious about the software or the community that surrounds it, feel free to stop by and introduce yourself. We always enjoy meeting new people, and we'll do our best to answer any questions you have about creating with Unreal Engine 4 or 5.

I've been making video games, interactive experiences and training simulators for over a decade. I like to go deep, read engine code, figure out complex systems and then make them dead simple to tweak.
