I have only recently been introduced to the Humanist movement. In the past I've avoided organized religious and philosophical groups, but something about the Humanist movement struck a cord with me. I don't have any expectations for the group. Meeting some nice folks and doing some good work would be enough for me. My career has been focused on management work in non-profit organizations. I've been lucky enough to be associated with some great causes during my career including: The Boys and Girls Club of America, Outward Bound, The Nature Conservancy and currently David's House. However, I haven't spent much time outside of work on causes that I find compelling. Perhaps this group can help me round out that portion of my life.
My wife Kim our son Owen and our German Shepherd Loki are fairly recent transplants to the Upper Valley from Hawai'i. We are working hard to become part of the community. My current project towards this end is growing a proper New England beard.
