In our group... we read and seek to understand more fully the concepts portrayed in The Urantia Book (Urantia being another word for the Earth). The book is a collection of 196 papers that its authors say is a divine revelation to our planet. The revelators assert that they are non-physical beings, ranging from those divine in origin to those closer to the level of human beings, such as angels. How the papers came to be transmitted into written form is not completely known. The papers started to be collected in the 1930s and were first published as The Urantia Book in 1955. We read sequentially through the book, stopping as people have comments or questions, and we are able to experience together the book's life-affirming message of Sonship with God, as well as the wealth of details on such subjects as: the possibilities that exist for an individual after physical death; what the soul is; how life developed on earth over time; a description of the various orders of divine and semi-divine beings; and a year-by-year account of the life and teachings of Jesus of Nazareth, also referred to in the book as the Creator Son of our local universe.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
