Ushahidi Platform v3.0 Launch: Nairobi Developer Day!

We are launching version 3.0 of our flagship product, the Ushahidi Platform, on 19th August 2015.

Join us to celebrate a public launch of our open source codebase for Ushahidi v3, and get started on contributing to our software.

Here's what our developer stack looks like

• Back-end: Linux (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Linux), PHP (https://php.net/), Apache (http://httpd.apache.org/)/Nginx (http://wiki.nginx.org/Main), MySQL (http://www.mysql.com/) or PostgreSQL (http://www.postgresql.org/)

• Front-end: AngularJS (https://angularjs.org/), Javascript (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/JavaScript), Html (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HTML), CSS (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cascading_Style_Sheets). Built with NodeJS (http://nodejs.org/) andBrowserify (http://browserify.org/). Using Leaflet (http://leafletjs.com/) for mapping, and a collection of other frontend libraries

The Platform will run on any platform that supports PHP, including Linux, Mac OSX and Windows.

We'll take up a chunk of time walking through setting up Ushahidi v3 and explaining its architecture, but it would be great if you could take a stab at trying to install it before the meetup ;)
