I was surprised and excited to see so many humanitarian map/tech people out last night. Great to meet you all! I feel like there haven't been many events around this theme in London lately. I was chatting to Justine Mackinnon last night about the idea of organising a crisis mapping event. Also notice the 'London-ICT4D' meet-up group looks interesting.
But there are a lot of events related to OpenStreetMap in the pipeline, including a casual pub meet-up in Kings Cross *tomorrow night*: http://bit.ly/londonosm8
I'd love to get more people involved in OpenStreetMap. The skill of using an OSM editor to contribute to the map is a powerful one for humanitarian/crisis response people to possess, and it ties in nicely with other systems like ushahidi. Come along to an OSM event and I can tell you more about it!
