Since 1999, UJUG has been serving the Wasatch Front development community.

What presenters are saying

Loved it. Huge crowd. Incredibly well organized from the setup, through the games & promotions, the speakers, and the energy / commitment of the crowd. Real practitioners of Java working on real issues. Would absolutely participate again.

Tyler Jewell, CEO CodeEnvy

It's been a privilege to speak at UJUG multiple times. Developers who know stuff, eager to learn, and with a great sense of humor—all combined into one with an efficient leadership makes this a very enjoyable group.

Dr. Venkat Subramaniam, award-winning author and founder of Agile Developer, Inc.

Presenting a Java 8 session to the Utah Java Users Group last month was a pleasure. The audience was cordial and knowledgeable, and the organizers were very hospitable and accommodating. I'm looking forward to the opportunity of speaking there again!

James Weaver, Oracle

Presenting at UJUG was a great experience. UJUG consistently draws the largest audiences out of any other developer meetup in SLC. It is full of seasoned engineers that ask thoughtful questions during and after presentations. By presenting I made a number of useful connections that I otherwise would not have. If you ever have the chance to present jump on it!

Ben Mabey

The UJUG is an engaged audience and a well knowledgeable one. While that is enough to scare any prospective speaker, don't be. They are wonderful, friendly, and grateful for anyone who stands on their stage.

Daniel Hinojosa

UJUG is one of my favorite speaking opportunities. The attendance is one of the larger of Java User Groups in the U.S., which lends energy to the presentation atmosphere. The UJUG members ask insightful questions as practitioners looking to level up their skills, which, as a speaker, makes me feel appreciated. Lastly, the group is well sponsored and well run, which showcases its health, makes it an important event to attend, and creates a structure to the evening that feels classy to both presenter and audience alike.
