Presenting at UJUG was a great experience. UJUG consistently draws the largest audiences out of any other developer meetup in SLC. It is full of seasoned engineers that ask thoughtful questions during and after presentations. By presenting I made a number of useful connections that I otherwise would not have. UJUG is one of my favorite speaking opportunities. The attendance is one of the larger of Java User Groups in the U.S., which lends energy to the presentation atmosphere. The UJUG members ask insightful questions as practitioners looking to level up their skills, which, as a speaker, makes me feel appreciated. Lastly, the group is well sponsored and well run, which showcases its health, makes it an important event to attend, and creates a structure to the evening that feels classy to both presenter and audience alike.
