Moderator:
Adam Lin, Counsel in Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe, LLP
Mr. Lin is a member of its Emerging Companies Group, which advises startup and publicly-traded companies and venture capital firms. Prior to joining Orrick, Mr. Lin served as Associate General Counsel at a Silicon Valley-based, U.S. Internet company that is listed on Nasdaq and as the General Counsel and Vice President of Business Development at a Taiwan-based, U.S. semiconductor company also traded on Nasdaq. Mr. Lin has extensive experiences in representing private and public companies as well as institutional and private investors on corporate formation, venture capital financing, mergers and acquisitions, public offerings, public company securities and compliances, in Silicon Valley and throughout the Asian regions. Mr. Lin holds a J.D. degree from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, a M.S. Degree in engineering from Stanford University and a B.S. degree in engineering from U.C. Berkeley.

Hanson Li, The Hina Group
Hanson Li is head of The Hina Group's San Francisco office, from where he leads the firm's US-China investment banking practice and is also actively involved in Hina's China focused investments. Hanson previously held management roles at Capital One Financial, Equal Footing, Global Logic, Mercer Management Consulting and Cagan McAfee Capital Partners. Outside of The Hina Group, Hanson serves as the Board Director for the Association of Asian American Investment Managers (AAAIM), Asia America MultiTechnology Association (AAMA).
Declan Shalvey, Boston Power Board Member
Declan Shalvey has over 30 years of experience managing businesses in Europe, US and Asia. His career has included working in multiple global industries; personal computers (Apple), the hard disk drive industry (Quantum), the laser and optical communications industry (Coherent and JDSU) and most recently in renewable energy (Boston- Power). During his career he has built factories in China as well as worked with China based contract manufacturers and supply chain partners, transferring both technology and products from Europe and USA to China. He has established legal entities in China and successfully engaged in business development efforts in multiple industries and across multiple technologies, leveraging governmental relationships, both at local and Beijing levels.
Han Shen, Formation 8
Han Shen started his career as Senior Scientist at the Department of Emerging Technologies of Rohm and Haas Company, where he was credited as inventor of four issued U.S. patents and key contributor to multiple winning grant proposals. Han later worked at VantagePoint Capital Partners where he invested in both early- and growth-stage companies. He has consulted on investments for other top-tier venture firms in Silicon Valley and worked with start-ups on growth strategy, manufacturing scale-up, capital formation, fund raising and team build-out.
Hing Wong, Walden International
Hing Wong is Managing Director of Walden International, a renowned venture fund with a global footprint. Hing focuses on semiconductors and clean technology, especially in China. His current investments include GalaxyCore, GigaDevice and Shanghai Haier IC. Prior to Walden International, he spent fifteen years in the semiconductor industry in technical, management and business roles. He worked at IBM, Chromatic Research, and co-founded Silicon Access Networks, a network IC company where he served as VP VLSI Design and later in VP Business Development.
Jackie Yang, TransLink Capital
Jackie Yang is a co-founder and Managing Director of TransLink Capital. He brought over 10 years of venture investment experience to the team and was one of the most active investors in the semiconductor industry during that period. Jackie is responsible for TransLink's investments in Adwo, Memoright, Montage, SandForce, Tango, and Winking Entertainment. Before starting TransLink, Jackie was the Senior Vice President at UMC Capital and was responsible for UMC's investment activities in the United States and China. During his tenure at UMC Capital, he was the founding investor in Maxlinear, Montage Technology Group, and Parade Technologies. He was also responsible for other UMC portfolio companies including Intellon, Silicon Wave, and Spreadtrum Communications.
