On the 4th Saturday of every month, VSI (Vipassana Support International) offers a day of meditation.

Guided meditation & instructions in the morning & after lunch - otherwise periods of silent sitting with the option for walking meditation practice.

Opportunity to meet with facilitators to discuss personal practice.

(There is a suggested donation of $30/day, $15/half day.)

Bring lunch for optional eating meditation. Come for all or part of the day.

All facilitators are trained by SHINZEN YOUNG whose contemporary, innovative & scientific "Basic Mindfulness" system is presently being studied by Harvard, Yale, and other prestigious institutions.

But ALL ARE WELCOME - regardless of what kind of meditation you practice. Most facilitators are versed in several methods and will strive to help you use mindfulness to reduce discomfort & increase happiness in your life.

It was a wonderful experience. I met lovely, beautiful people. I was amazed at how much street noise I was able to embrace. The space is very nurturing.

Hi Regina, Usually, after the morning guidance from 9-10am, it is silent sitting (30 min sits) till lunch (at 12:30 or 1pm) and then the afternoon is usually all silent till a loving kindness meditation at the end of the day. Sometimes there is a short guided meditation after lunch. It depends on who is leading the day. The entire day is in "noble silence" - i.e. no talking aloud (except for guided meditations.) Hope that answers your question. Steph

Thanks so much Stephanie, I'm looking forward to it. I want to do more silent meditation in a group setting.
