My 82 westy is L28N, stock but rare orange from a one off beetle model called the Jean. Past relationships: 65 beetle, 65ish van hard hightop, 74 beetle, 68 Ghia, 81 vanagon, 75 beetle, 82 westy
I am looking for a long trouble free drive to the woods for hangover and a sunburn.
Jenny: cartographer/designer/musician/seamstress & love to tinker with my van
I am involved in the Bicycle meet up as well. Their group is very active. I think the thing is we need to: a) reach a critical mass where-in many meet ups can be suggested and a person can pick and choose. Once we have the club name nailed down we can start promoting the club with other van owners using flyers or something and increase the club size and variety. b) It might be nice to choose a couple weekends a year and plan camping trips annually so members can plan ahead for them. If we can have some big turnouts for these it will help bond people and create friendships etc and ultimately generate more of the smaller trips. Seems to work for the Wet Westies I have another group I camp with and we do a spring and a fall trip every year and it really keeps us connected.
